Schengen Visa: Where to Submit Your Application in Bangladesh?

The following information is important for all prospective Schengen Visa applicants applying from Bangladesh:

Countries Under Schengen Agreement
Schengen Visa (Short Term Visas) in Bangladesh can only be applied through 9 Applications Centers/ Embassies, which means these 9 Visa Application Centres / Embassies represent ALL Schengen States for Short Term Visa matter as well receives visa applications. Except for Lithuania, all other visas are handled in Bangladesh itself.

This is a list created by me taking information from the VFS Pages, Application Center, etc, which I guess is correct:

  • VFS Sweden: Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Luxemburg, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland & Slovenia

  • VFS Italy: Italy, Greece, Malta & Slovakia

  • VFS Denmark: Denmark & Norway

  • VFS Austria: Austria (Austria was previously represented by Embassy of France)

  • Spain VAC: Spain

  • Embassy of France: France, Portugal & Czech Republic

  • Embassy of Germany: Germany, Estonia & Hungary

  • Embassy of Switzerland: Switzerland & Liechtenstein

  • Embassy of Lithuania, New Delhi: Lithuania (Application has to be verified and forwarded by the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in Bangladesh.

The above list covers all 26 countries!

Special Note: Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, India accepts Schengen Visa Applications from Bangladesh nationals with prior appointment. However, in Bangladesh, the Czech Republic is represented by the Embassy of France for all short-stay visa matters.

The above information may be handy for anyone who is planning to apply for Schengen Visa!

Cheers & Happy Travels! :)

Bhai, as for attaching photographs, pasting it with glue is the way to go. For copies of passport pages, it depends embassies/visa application centres as well as the officer in charge. Sometime they keep all previous passports, in that case they do not keep photocopies, but sometime they may leave out all or few old passports and ask for photocopies of the same. So it is best to carry photocopies as well as all previous passports with you.
