Some of you may have been aware of the Transit Without Visa Facility for Malaysia with certain conditions. There is a similar facility available even for China without ANY such requirement as holding a valid US/UK/Schengen/Australia Visa or anything similar. All you need is a confirmed air-ticket or already issued boarding pass.
For over 51 countries this facility is available for 72 to 144 hours, however for Bangladesh nationals, it is available only for 24 hours, which is not bad at all as most of the time you will have a flight leaving within next 8 to 10 hours, i.e. if you are taking a flight combo with longer stop-over with an intention to explore the transit city!
I used this facility twice, first back in 2013 when I was travelling China Southern (in Guangzhou) and next time in November 2016 while returning to Bangkok from Los Angeles by China Eastern (in Shanghai). The transit cities were Guangzhou and Shanghai respectively. Even last November, when I was flying to Los Angeles from Bangkok, I was offered the same by the airlines official, but I did not need it as I already held a valid multiple entry visa for China. The airport/ city was Shenyang and the airline was China Southern.
Documents Required to be Eligible for Chinese Transit Pass: -Passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of entry -Visa for a third country or region (if applicable) -A full completed Arrival/Departure Card (including name, nationality, passport no., visa no & place of issuance (not applicable here), flight no, the purpose of visit, date of birth, gender) -An onward ticket with confirmed seat is needed
Recent Update: Please note it has come to my notice that a couple of passengers was not issued this transit pass at Guangzhou Airport last year and they were asked to wait in the transit area as the airlines did not sponsor their transit (did not provide any hotel or tour). But officially it is available to us even if the airline is not sponsoring the transit, as in my case in Shanghai.
